United League Sets Player Tryouts for April 19th & 20th
Southaven, Mississippi's Snowden Grove to Play Host

Edinburg, TX- The United League of Professional Baseball
(ULB) has set its 2008 national player tryout camp for
Saturday, April 19th & Sunday, April 20th. The ULB, in
conjunction with the City of Southaven, MS., is proud to
announce that the 2008 tryouts presented by D-Bat, will be
held at the Snowden Grove Complex located at 6205 Old
Getwell Road, 10 minutes south of Memphis, TN.

Check in and registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday
morning with the camp starting at 10:00 a.m. A limited
number of players will be asked to come back on Sunday for
an intersquad scrimmage. A league-wide draft will be held
on Sunday afternoon.

All applicants must have played collegiate baseball at a
NJCAA, NCAA, or NAIA school or have played professional
baseball (affiliated or independent).


Participants can pre-register for the camp by going to the
United League web site at www.UnitedLeague.org. The cost
of the camp for pre-registration is $40.00. The
registration fee on the day of the camp will be $50.00.
Applicants should print the provided application and fax to
the United League office at 1-888-803-6517. Upon receiving
the application, a United League Baseball staff member will
make contact to confirm your registration.

The 2008 United League Baseball field managers will be in
charge of all activities including, former Major League
manager Doc Edwards, San Angelo Colts, former Major League
player Al Gallagher, Harlingen Whitewings, Dan Shwam,
Laredo Broncos, Vince Moore, Edinburg Coyotes, Ricky
Vanassleberg, Alexandria Aces, and Brady Bogart, Amarillo
Dillas.
To get to Snowden Grove, exit I-55 at Goodman Road and go
east, proceed to Getwell Road and go south. The Southaven
Baseball Complex is on the left and follow the signs to the
field.
